School & Camp in Tarzana CA
Sage offers flexible half and full day schedules two, three, or five days per week. We follow a school year calendar, Sept-June, with traditional holidays + winter, spring, and summer breaks. During the breaks we provide optional camp programs in Tarzana. Camp sessions are themed, and activities include organic gardening, cooking, music, daily art projects, outdoor water play and special guests! Enrollment for school and camp is ongoing based on availability.
Curriculum
Our dedicated and experienced teachers have created an enriching and developmentally appropriate curriculum that is play-based, hands-on, and engaging. We believe that a flexible child-centered approach provides an encouraging place to learn and create wonderful first school memories! High-quality, creative educational materials and art supplies empower our staff to inspire the imagination of every child.
Sample daily routine: morning welcome, exploration centers, circle time, nutritious snacks & lunch, rest time, gardening, art, & outdoor play.
Conscious Discipline
Our philosophy is to encourage appropriate behavior with positive reinforcement, redirection, and an emphasis on social skill development. We integrate concepts from “Conscious Discipline” developed by Dr. Becky Bailey. This highly effective program focuses on building a “school family” with special school wide routines including a Wish Well board, Kindness Center, Comfort Station, and special tools for conflict resolution.
